At Smarty Symbols, we understand that things can happen—whether it’s damage during installation, vandalism, or environmental factors. If you didn’t purchase our Protection Plan, don’t worry! We offer a reprint option that allows you to replace your communication board at a reduced cost.

How Does the Reduced-Fee Reprint Work?

If your communication board has been damaged by an accident, improper installation, or even vandalism, you don’t need to worry about the cost of replacing it entirely. Our Reduced-Fee Reprint Option allows you to get a replacement at a fraction of the original cost—making it simple and affordable to keep your board in top shape.

Who is Eligible for a Reduced-Fee Reprint?

To ensure fairness and protect against misuse, the Reduced-Fee Reprint Option is available only under the following conditions:

No Protection Plan:

The option is available to customers who did not purchase the Protection Plan at the time of their original board purchase.

Purchase Date:

The communication board must have been purchased within the last 5 years to qualify for the reduced-fee reprint option.

Waiting Period:

To prevent misuse, reprint requests can only be made after a 6-month waiting period from the original purchase date.

Proof of Significant Damage:

The damage must be substantial enough to require a full replacement (e.g., cracks, breaks, or vandalism).

The reprint will be an exact replica of your original board. No changes to the design, text, colors, or layout are permitted.

Who is eligible for a reprint?

Reprints are available to customers who did not purchase the Protection Plan and who bought their communication board within the last 5 years. Additionally, reprint requests can only be made after a 6-month waiting period from the original purchase date.

How much does a reprint cost?

The reprint is offered at 50% of the original total invoiced amount of your communication board. Shipping fees are included for shipment within the continental USA.

What if I don’t know the original cost of my board?

No problem! If you don’t have the original invoice or can’t remember the purchase details, we can help locate the receipt and calculate the cost for you. Just provide as much information as possible when submitting your request.

Can I change the design during the reprint process?

No, reprints must match the original design exactly. This means no changes to text, colors, layout, or icons. However, if Smarty Symbols has made updates to our standard design (such as replacing icons or adjusting the layout), these updates will be applied to your reprint. We will notify you of any design changes before we proceed.

What if I purchased the Protection Plan?

If you purchased the Smarty Symbols Protection Plan, your reprint is free, and you should submit a claim via the Protection Plan Claim Form instead of the reprint request form.

What if my board was damaged by vandalism or an accident?

If you purchased the Protection Plan, these types of damages are covered, and you can submit a claim for a free replacement. If you did not purchase the plan, the reprint option is available at 50% of the original cost.

This section helps us locate your original purchase and confirm your eligibility for a reprint at the reduced fee.


Reprint Eligibility Confirmation

To qualify for a reprint at a reduced cost, your communication board must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • 6-Month Waiting Period: Reprint requests can only be made 6 months after the original purchase date. If your purchase was made within the last 6 months, you will need to wait until the eligibility period has passed to submit a request.

  • Exact Replica: The reprint will be an exact replica of your original board. No changes to the design, text, layout, or colors are permitted.

  • 5-Year Eligibility Window: Reprints are available for up to 5 years after the original purchase date. Requests made beyond this period will not be accepted.

If you did not purchase the Protection Plan and meet these criteria, you are eligible to submit a reprint request at 50% of the original cost.
